My Picks for the Sephora Sale
The highly-anticipated Sephora Holiday Savings Event is almost here and you know I’ve got my basket filled to the brim! It’s the perfect time to stock up on your tried and true favorites as well as gifts for loved ones for the upcoming holiday season. So I thought I’d share a few of my beauty drawer must-haves for a little inspiration or something new to add to your own basket.
Skincare
I used to think cleansers were all the same and it didn’t matter what you used. I was wrong. Enter the Fresh Soy Hydrating Face Wash. It’s the most effective yet gentle cleanser I’ve ever used. It doesn’t dry out my skin, instead it leaves it feeling fresh while whisking away dirt and grime with ease— and removing anything my Face Halo pad may have missed. I’ve been using it for 3 years and counting.
A newer favorite of mine that I discovered a few months ago thanks to a Sephora sample is the Biossance Squalene + Copper Peptide Plumping Serum. If you’re looking for something to hydrate and lift, look no further than this serum. It perks and plumps my skin like nothing else. I apply it after I cleanse and before I moisturize in the morning as the perfect prep for my daily makeup.
Makeup
This was such tough category to narrow down! But I’ve decided to go with a few of my all-time faves that lend themselves to daywear or night vamping, which is perfect for the upcoming festive season.
At the moment, there is no other bronzer that compares to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer for me. It brings a luminosity to the face that simultaneously brightens and deepens. It’s all-day staying power is truly incredible and it’s buildable formula makes it the ideal bronzer to take you from desk to dinner. I wear the shade Radiant Bronze Light.
A showstopper since it first came out, Dior’s Diorshow Mascara is everything you want in a mascara and then some. It amps up the volume of your lashes and can be swiped on once or twice for a fresh look, or a couple more times for party-ready eyes.
Last up is the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow in Champagne. I’ve bought this exact cream shadow multiple times because I love it so much. It’s easy to use and so versatile. Tap a little on your lids and throw bronzer in your crease for a sun-kissed look, or use it as the topper to make a more dramatic really pop and shine.
Bodycare
I’m a fan of a glow all-year long, but winter can make it tough to keep one. Thank goodness for St. Tropez! St. Tropez is my go-to for tanning products because they’re so effective and give a natural-looking tan from the first application. My favorite is the Express Tanning Mousse which is great if you’re crunched for time and looking for a quick glow up before a social gathering.
To help keep that glow and keep your skin nourished through the harsh cold months, I love the L’Occitane Shower Oil with Almond Oil. I am convinced there is next to nothing that smells better nor treats your skin better. It works great in place of a shaving cream, too.
Haircare
Whenever I’m asked about how I give my hair its shine, the answer is always these two products. For an incredible shine that also protects your hair from heat, Bumble & Bumble’s Bb.Heat Shield Thermal Protection Mist is the gift that keepps on giving. I spray it onto my tresses before using any hot tools, but it’s also great for taming flyaways.
The second is the Moroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil. I’ve been using this since I was 19 or 20 and that alone should tell you how good it is. I use it after I wash my hair and a few times throughout the week on dry hair. This argan oil-infused hair treatment is incredibly hydrating and instantly improves shine and softness after application.
